Artist's Comments

This is the finished version of this line sketch [link]

It took me around 3-4 hours to color, which is quick enough for me and another 2 hours for the background and other elements, to get the colors right etc.

I hope you like it and yes I got inspiration from miss Betty Page :)

Very nice work! The background, reflections on the tile floor, her hair, the water streaming down her leg, more reflections on the bathtub itself. Great attention to detail.:)

thank you Lyle, best part was that the coloring came out pretty quick, much quicker than I expected, only the linework was a real pain in the backside lol! I think it has some more room for detail but I'm satisfied as it is now, so I'll leave it as such. Like the SR-71, I broke my speed record with it LOL!

Talking about the SR-71... I just loooooove the blackbird!

I'm no critic but I think it's just right with what you've already completed. It sure drew me in! Ah yes...the Blackbird. What a proud gal she was.:)

Double that on "immaculate work"! And double what Lyle says on your reflections! You found the right balance.
When I was learning airbrush (old school - in the '80's :) ), I was taught that when you think it could use just a wee bit more tweaking... leave it alone! You're done. don't over do it. Oh yeah, my brother was my teacher - now he is a world renowned fish carver - reeltrout.com :)

I couldn't agree more with you regarding the tweaking, as I have ruined far too many works due to over tweaking. Best option is to get your mind away from it for a couple of days, then come back and finish it off :)
Thank you for your kind comments!
