Another car-toon. This time the 2006 Nissan 350 Z, one of the most beautiful and notable modern coupe designs.
I've sketched this back in May '08 and worked on it on and off. Due to workload I never got to finish it in time, but as I said before, summer holidays are ideal for finishing projects off
Still a few minor details to be done but I'm signing it off for now as I need to get going with other stuff in the pipeline.
We see several "built" versions of this little gal around town - some look like they could take on the 911's
Great art, man! My favorite part of your work is how you go 3-D in a way, adding dimension where most just go flat or skip detail... for instance, the rotors and calipers, the interior of the headlights
Thank you Brian! I'm glad you like it man! Yeah some 350Z's CAN beat a 911. All it takes is some good engine tuning and a good driver. Aside from that it's a very nice design coupe.
I do tend to add detail, and that costs in time, most of the times the hand goes by itself and I end up with a ton of things that need shading and stuff LOL! With toons you can get away omitting details, but then again it's no good drawing your face for example without the eyebrows, or some characteristic creases on your skin. I guess it all comes down to how much dedicated you are into cars and how well you have studied your victim For instance headlights play a key role in the form of the car, their shape and everything gives character to the car.
Also thank you for the fave!
